Wednesday 8th June saw Liverpool welcome Oceania Nautica for the day.  We arrived at the port and were whisked onboard for a welcome coffee and pastry. We then did our hosted tour of the ship.  Nautica was built in 2000 and is the same as her sister ships the Regatta, Insignia and Sirena.  All of the ships are just over 30000 tons with a guest capacity of 684 passengers.  I personally love this size of ship as they are so easy to get around but they still have lots of open space and great facilities onboard.

The Reception Hall is where you can book any tours or sit and relax and on the Upper Hall you find the Boutiques.  The staircase onboard reminds me of the one on Titanic!

On Deck 5 you will also find the Grand Dining Room where we enjoyed a beautiful lunch - Oceania are renowned for the quality of their food and we were not disappointed.  After dinner you can enjoy a show in the Nautica Lounge.  For those who enjoy the odd flutter you will also find the Casino and the Martinis Bar.

As the ship was full we only got to see one of the staterooms but it was a lovely Veranda Stateroom - the Prestige Tranquility Bed looked so comfy!

Deck 9 hosts the Canyon Ranch Spa Club as well as the Salon, Fitness Center and the lovely Spa Terrace.  You will also find the Card Room and Oceania @ Sea where you can keep in touch with your family and friends using the computers.

The Spa and Pool Area were just beautiful and it was great to be able to enjoy them in the sun!  At the aft end of Deck 9 you find the Terrace Cafe with the inside and outside seating areas.  The food certainly looked delicious.

Deck 10 is home to the Horizon Bar where you can relax watching the world pass you by with amazing views of the bow of the ship.  At night this becomes the nightclub.  The Library certainly had a great selection of books in it.  At the aft end of Deck 10 are the 2 Speciality Restuarants onboard which are free to eat in - you just need to book - the Polo Grill has all the elements of a classic steakhouse with options for seafood lovers and Toscana where each dish is a masterpiece that ememplifies the essence of Tuscany.

Our time onboard Nautica was sadly over as she was ready to sail onto her next port.  It was a great day onboard and I look forward to visiting her again in the future.
